Two individuals set to appear in court for alleged defamation of Oba Elegushi

Charges have been brought by the Police against two individuals at the Federal High Court in Lagos. The charges include cyberstalking, illegal publication, and defamation of monarch Oba Saheed Elegushi.

The defendants named in the case are Adesola James and Odunmosu Azeez Awiye.

It has been learned that the scheduled arraignment of the two accused is set for tomorrow, Tuesday, in front of Justice Abimbola Awogboro.

Allegations state that Adesola James and Odunmosu Azeez Awiye, in collaboration with others, engaged in criminal activities related to cyberstalking between December 2023 and March 2024 in Lagos. These actions are in violation of Section 27 of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, ETC) Act, 2015.
