Speed Darlington throws shade at Portable for incurring debts

There has been a recent development in the Nigerian music scene involving Portable and Speed Darlington. The controversial singer, Speed Darlington, took a dig at his colleague Portable after the latter was arrested for failing to settle a car debt.

Reports indicate that Portable was apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command for defaulting on payments related to the purchase of a G-Wagon from a local car dealer.

In response to the incident, Speed Darlington mocked Portable, questioning his extravagant lifestyle while struggling financially. Darlington emphasized that he manages his finances prudently, highlighting that his own Benz is 18 years old.

In a video shared on his Instagram account, Darlington humorously commented on the situation, saying, “Did you see Portable jumping over fences? Portable has been caught! The Yoruba superstar doesn’t have enough money for a Benz [laughs].”

He further added, “No one is after me. I operate on a cash basis. I don’t depend on others for support. Portable was showcasing his GLE without the means to pay for it.”

To emphasize his point, Darlington mentioned the age of his Benz, stating, “Guess how old my Benz is? 18 years. Yet, I have peace of mind. I’m not in a position where I have to jump fences.”
