Rivers Angels Seek Fan Support for NWFL Title Victory

Defender for Rivers Angels, Sarah Iloduba, is appealing for the fans’ backing as they prepare for the upcoming Super Six playoff tournament.

In the race for the 2024 Nigeria Women Football League title, the Port Harcourt club will face tough competition from Heartland Queens, Confluence Queens, Edo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, and Bayelsa Queens.

Scheduled from 18th to 26th May 2024, all matches are set to take place at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.

Iloduba is confident that the support from the fans will play a crucial role in the team’s success during the tournament.

“We are truly grateful for the fans’ support, especially during the regular season,” she expressed to the Rivers Angels media team.

“As we head into the significant Super Six playoff tournament, we seek and value the support and affection to triumph in Bayelsa.

“A special acknowledgment goes to the state government for the immense support received throughout the season, and we look forward to more as we chase the NWFL title.

“With the backing and motivation we receive, the trophy will undoubtedly find its way to Rivers State. Let’s Go Rivers Angels!”

The champion of the Super Six playoff tournament will represent Nigeria in the CAF Women’s Champions League in the following season.
