Resignation of Edo APC Vice Chairman

Francis Inegbeniki, the Edo State Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, has officially stepped down from his position within the party.

In a letter dated June 8, 2024, addressed to the ward chairman of Opoji, Esan Central Local Government, Inegbeniki explained his decision to resign in light of recent developments that went against his personal beliefs and values within the party at the local and state levels.

Reflecting on his 25 years of active involvement as a dedicated grassroots politician in Edo State and as one of the pioneers of the APC in the state, he expressed that despite his contributions, he could no longer align with the direction of the party in his area.

After careful consideration and discussions with his family, friends, and colleagues in politics, Inegbeniki shared his resignation both from the APC and his role as the state vice chairman, emphasizing that this decision, although difficult, was made in the best interest of the people in his senatorial district.

He stressed the need for significant reforms to revitalize and strengthen the party’s position within the state.
