Portable regains freedom after fulfilling bail condition

After meeting the requirements for bail, Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, has been released from the custody of the Lagos State Police Command.

Portable was taken into custody on Tuesday on allegations of not completing payment for his luxury car, the G-Wagon.

The singer, known for the hit ‘Zazzu’, had bought a Mercedes Benz GLE 350 from car dealer Ogunsanwo Temitope (Temmy Autos) in Lagos but had outstanding payment issues.

Reports indicate that Portable had initially paid N13 million for the N27 million car but refused to settle the remaining N14 million.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benajmin Hundeyin, confirmed the singer’s release to Vanguard on Wednesday evening.

Responding to queries about the resolution of the matter, the spokesperson mentioned, “I don’t have details on that, but I can confirm that he has been allowed bail.”
