May 21st Set as New Date for Kwara’s First 2024 Hajj Flight

Plans for the inaugural flight for the 2024 Muslim pilgrimage from General Tunde Idiagbon International Airport in Ilorin, Kwara State, have been rescheduled to Tuesday, May 21st.

The shift in the date was announced by the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board through a statement from the executive secretary, Abdulkadir Abdulsala, in Ilorin on Sunday. This change was made in collaboration with NAHCON and airlines due to delays in the initial arrangements.

Originally, pilgrims from Kwara were supposed to have their first flight on Monday, May 20th, 2024.

Regarding this development, the statement advised, “Intending pilgrims should note that they are no longer required to arrive at the camp today (Sunday) as previously instructed. Instead, they should arrive tomorrow, Monday, May 20th, in preparation for their inaugural flight scheduled for Tuesday at 10:20 am.

“This adjustment applies specifically to the pilgrims whose names were originally listed for the first flight. More details will be provided to guide all our pilgrims and the general public. Although we regret this slight change, it is beyond the control of the state pilgrims board or local authorities,” the statement emphasized.
