Lai Mohammed expresses sorrow over the passing of Kwara monarch, Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola Olusokun II

In a statement released in Abuja, Lai Mohammed, the former Minister of Information and Culture, conveyed deep sadness at the demise of His Royal Majesty, Elerin of Erin Ile, Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola Olusokun II, a distinguished Monarch in Kwara State.

Having ruled for 41 years, Olusokun devoted himself to serving humanity, leaving an unforgettable impression on all those fortunate to have known him, according to the statement by Lai Mohammed.

“His era as a ruler can be considered as the golden period of Erin Ile,” he added.

Lai Mohammed, who served eight years in the previous administration, extended his condolences to the people of Erin Ile, Kwara State, and Nigeria for this significant loss, urging everyone to seek comfort in the lasting legacy of Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola Olusokun II.

“He led a purposeful life dedicated to both God and humanity. May his compassionate and wise spirit continue to be a guiding light for us all,” Mohammed said.

“My prayers go out for his eternal rest and for the people of Erin Ile to find the strength to cope with this irreplaceable loss.”
