Exam Hall Incident: Osun Poly Invigilator Stabbed

During an examination at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, a non-academic staff member, Abdul-azeez Abdullahi, was reportedly stabbed by an unidentified individual.

The disturbing incident took place at the Red Block Hall of the institution last Friday around 3:00 pm.

Visual evidence indicates that the victim sustained serious stab wounds from the assailant.

According to a reliable source, the attacker intruded into the hall after students had been dismissed for the afternoon session, causing disruption and chaos.

It was reported that the conflict arose when invigilator Mr. Abdul-azeez Abdullahi confronted the disruptive individual to leave the examination hall.

An altercation ensued, leading to the attacker breaking a window and stabbing Mr. Abdul-azeez on his back, hand, and head.

After the assault, the assailant fled the scene while Mr. Abdul-azeez received immediate medical attention at OSPOLY medical center before being transferred to Ore Ofe Hospital in Iree, Osun State.

Confirming the incident, Dr. Tope Abiola, the Dean Of Students’ Affairs at the institution, stated that the perpetrator was not a student of the polytechnic.

“The individual responsible is not enrolled as a student here. We are working closely with the authorities to identify and apprehend the suspect,” said Dr. Abiola.

“Meanwhile, our injured staff member is currently undergoing treatment and is showing positive signs of recovery.”
