EPL Update: Ten Hag Shares Latest on Injuries before Man Utd Encounters Newcastle

Anticipating the clash with Newcastle United on Wednesday, Manchester United’s head coach, Erik ten Hag, is optimistic about Lisandro Martínez’s fitness for the upcoming Premier League fixture.

Martinez’s playing time this season has been limited to just 11 appearances due to foot, knee, and calf issues.

Since the 1-1 draw with Brentford on March 30, the defender has been sidelined.

During a press briefing on Tuesday, Ten Hag mentioned, “I believe he will be back in contention. He has participated in some training sessions with us, and our plan is to have him ready. Should everything go smoothly in today’s training session, he will rejoin the squad.”

Regarding other players, Ten Hag added, “We still need to assess the condition of some players like Bruno [Fernandes], [Marcus] Rashford, and Willy Kambwala.”

Manchester United currently holds the eighth position in the league standings, with two remaining fixtures.
