The Rivers State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Barrister Chris Green, generously presented the girls with a cash gift totaling N2m.

This gesture is intended to inspire the girls to excel in their upcoming matches.

Despite falling behind early, the Port Harcourt-based team managed to equalize against the hosts at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.

Rita Peter scored the crucial goal to level the score after Fehintola Mabokanje had opened the scoring for Bayelsa Queens.
