AGN bans pictures, video recordings at Junior Pope’s burial

  • The Actors Guild of Nigeria has reacted to the report of Junior Pope’s burial arrangements.
  • The guild’s president, Emeka Rollas stated that there shall be no unnecessary photos and video recordings taken on the day of the burial.
  • He listed those permitted to take photos or videos from the scene.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has banned unnecessary pictures and video recordings at the burial of Junior Pope.

He stated that photos and videos taken at the funeral should be only by  official photographers.

AGN president Emeka Rollas said this in an Instagram post on Tuesday, May 14, in which he added that all press and bloggers must also be accredited by the family.AGN bans pictures, video recordings at Junior Pope’s burial Dmartpreneur

He wrote in parts:

“Its a devastating and sorrowful period for the Actors Guild of Nigeria therefore we shall not indulge in any unnecessary picture or video recording that is not by the official photographers at the proceedings of final journey of our departed colleague. All Press/ Bloggers must be accredited by the family.

“Special thanks to Hon Peter Aniekwe Udogalanya Member representing the good people of Anambra East & West Federal Constituency, Hon Maureen Gwacham member representing the good people of Oyi & Ayamelum Federal constituency, Hon Peter Ifeanyi Uzokwe member representing the good people of Nnewi North/South & Ekwusigo Federal constituency at the House of representatives. The actor alongside make-up artist Abigail Frederick, and the production crew; Friday, Olanti and Precious drowned in Anam River on their way back from the set of Another Side of Life, a movie produced by Adanma Luke.

The actor got married to Jennifer Awele in 2014 and they have three children together.

The 43-year-old will be buried on Friday, May 17, at his country home after a burial mass at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ukehe. Interment will follow immediately after the burial of the actor.

The burial arrangements will be wrapped up with a thanksgiving mass at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ukehe, on May 20.
