27-Year-Old Serial Motorcycle Thief in Ede Apprehended by Osun NSCDC

Wahab Saburi, a 27-year-old suspected serial motorcycle thief and resident of Obada Compound in Ede, Osun State, has been caught by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command.

On May 11, 2024, NSCDC personnel arrested Saburi at Oke-Ola Area, Ede, Osun State, as revealed in a statement by the State Commandant, Michael Adaralewa, and spokesperson Adeleke Kehinde.

Investigations uncovered that Saburi stored stolen motorcycles in his room at Obada Street Agate following theft incidents.

According to the commandant, Saburi admitted to engaging in motorcycle theft for about three years and confessed to stealing a motorcycle on the day of his arrest using a specific key to unlock it.

Further probing revealed that Saburi had four stolen motorcycles in his possession, allegedly stolen from various areas in Ede, Osun State.

The suspect admitted to selling the stolen motorcycles for N40,000 each to buyers and obtaining sales agreement papers for them from an associate in a popular Ede market.

Adaralewa promised that all individuals involved in the criminal activities would face legal consequences as the corps vows to eradicate criminal elements from the state.
