President Bola Tinubu suspends the four programmes
administered by NSIPA, which are N- POWER, Conditional Cash Transfer,
Government enterprise and empowerment as well as the Home-Grown school
feeding.
The suspension, further to the ongoing investigation on the
alleged mismanagement of funds, the agency and its programmes is for a period
of six weeks.
A ministerial panel is therefore constituted to conduct a
thorough review of the agency's operations with a view to recommending
necessary reforms of the NSIPA.
During the period of this suspension, the states says, all
NSIPA-Related activities, including but not limited to all distributions,
events, payments, collaborations and registrations are now on hold.
The President wishes to assures Nigerians that his administration remains committed to ensuring that the agency operates exactly as intended to the benefit of the most vulnerable Nigerians.
