The Customs Area Controller Port Terminal Multi-Services
Limited (PTML), Comptroller Saidu Yusuf, has called for continuous stakeholder
collaboration as the Command celebrated her end-of-year party.
The event had in attendance Sylvester Othuke Egede, port
manager, Tincan Island Port, Ascanio Russo, PTML MD, among other
stakeholders.
In his welcome address, Comptroller Yusuf emphasized the need
for stakeholders to work cohesively to overcome challenges and propel the
Command toward greater achievements, noting that the occasion is viewed as not
only a celebration of accomplishments but also an opportunity to strengthen the
bonds that define the PTML community.
According to him, “the get-together,is in line with the New
Nigeria Customs Service Act.
"This is not just a Party to eat and drink; it's a party
to interact, assess last year and put our heads together on how to improve.
It's a way forward for the Nigeria Customs Service PTML Area Command, the
stakeholders and all those involved in doing business". He stressed.
The CAC acknowledged the Comptroller General of Customs,
Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, for introducing such foresight, stating that
avenues like this encourage stakeholders to engage in meaningful interactions
beyond professional duties.
He further commended the turnout of Officers, stakeholders,
Guests and others, stressing that the event underscores the importance of
fostering a collaborative environment for sustained success within the Command.
On Officers' recognition and Awards, the Command gave Award
of Excellence to newly promoted Comptrollers and Officers who have shown
exception in discharging their duties.
Among the recipients of the Awards was the Command's Public Relations Officer, CSC Muhammad Yakubu.
