Job
Description
- We are looking for a reliable
Inventory Admin Intern to join our growing company.
- Your primary goal in this role
is to assist the Inventory Admin. Your tasks will include monitoring and
maintaining accurate records of the company's inventory levels.
- You will also be responsible for
reviewing inventory levels to ensure efficient stocking levels as well as
performing a weekly analysis of stock movements.
- The ideal candidate is
trust-worthy with outstanding record-keeping and analytical abilities.
- They will demonstrate excellent
organizational and problem-solving skills as well as extreme attention to
detail.
Tasks
- Maintain and update inventory
records using our cloud-based inventory management software
- Report discrepancies between
physical counts and digital records
- Receive, sort and label new
inventory from the factory
- Transfer stock from Head Office
to physical stores
- Fulfill online orders on Shopify
- Create purchase orders to
replenish stock
- Record and track stock levels
- Monitor distribution of stock from
Head Office to our retail locations
- Check supplies against invoice
and purchase orders
- Undertake monthly physical
inventory counts
- Create reports on inventory
positions and best-selling products and recommendations for inventory
optimization
Requirements
- Good grasp of inventory
management and stock-taking procedures
- Accounting or book-keeping
training is preferred. You don't have to be qualified yet but some
accounting training would be helpful
- Experience with an accounting
package like Xero or Zoho Books is an added advantage
Skills:
- Meticulous record-keeping
ability
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills,
in particular working with CSV imports and exports and familiarity with
Excel functions and keyboard shortcuts
- Good problem-solving skills
- Possess strong analytical and
observation skills
- Excellent numeracy skills

Working
Hours:
- This is a part-time position
requiring you to work three days a week during our working hours of Monday
to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Remuneration
- You will be paid hourly based on
hours worked. The hourly wage is N400/hr and will be paid monthly in
arrears.
