Court Jails Fake Estefani Castellanos, Two Others in Benin City
The Benin Zonal Command
of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on March 8, 2023 secured
the conviction of three internet fraudsters before Justice Efe Ikponmwonba of
Edo State High Court, Benin City.
The convicts - Osayi
Gregory, Smart Okunrobo and Justice Osagie Beggedo- were arraigned on separate
one count charges of impersonation and obtaining by false pretence. They had
between 2018 and 2020 impersonated foreign nationals to defraud unsuspecting victims.
